Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding Proves Costly for the Varsity Indians at Andrew Jackson
For avid sports fans the month of March means March Madness and the thought of post play is used to describe the play of the big men in the NCAA basketball tournament. On Monday, March 7 the Indians took post play to a different playing area, the soccer field. The Indians hit the left post at the 63 minute mark of a heated 0-0 match. At the 72 minute mark the Indians fired a shot that richocheted off the cross bar. The match remained tied through regulation and through the 10 minute overtime period which meant the match would be decided by penalty kicks. It was in the penalty kicks that post play would become costly as the Indians sent 2 penalty kicks in a row off the left post in the exact same areas of the left post. They say football is a game of inches and apparently so is futbol.
